The service

Dota Buddy is a Discord bot that shows public Dota 2 statistics. It is provided as is, without warranty, and may change or stop working at any time. It depends on the OpenDota API and the Steam Web API, and inherits their availability.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the bot to harass anyone, including with /roast.
• Don't attempt to overload it, script it, or work around its rate limits.
• Follow the Discord Terms of Service.

Premium and billing

Premium is a monthly subscription. You can pay two ways, at the same price: through Discord, or by card via Stripe. Whichever you choose, that provider processes the payment — we never see or store card details.

Cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and does not renew after that. Discord subscriptions are cancelled in your Discord subscription settings; card subscriptions through the billing portal linked from /premium.

Who you are dealing with

Dota Buddy is operated by Buddy Bots. Payments are processed by our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record — so their name, not ours, is what appears on your card statement.

Refunds

If a premium feature does not work as described, tell us and we will refund the affected period — that is the whole policy, and we would rather issue one than argue about it.

• Card payments are refunded by us directly. Ask through /feedback or the email above, and say roughly what went wrong.
• Discord payments are refunded by Discord, not by us — we are not the merchant on those and cannot issue them. Request one under Discord's Settings → Subscriptions. If Discord declines and the fault was ours, contact us and we will credit your account with free premium time instead.
• Unused time after a cancellation is not automatically refunded, because your access continues until the period ends. Ask if your situation is different.

Availability

This is a small, independently run bot. There is no uptime guarantee. Premium features depend on third-party APIs that occasionally fail; when they do, commands degrade to cached data where possible.
