Privacy

Plain version: the bot stores the minimum needed to answer Dota questions about you, and nothing is sold or shared.

What is stored

• Your Discord user ID and the IDs of servers you use the bot in — to know whose stats to fetch and which leaderboards you belong on.
• Your Steam ID and Dota account ID, once you run /link.
• Cached public Dota data from OpenDota — profile, win/loss, heroes, recent matches. This is public match data, cached to stay inside API rate limits.
• Periodic stat snapshots, so /trends can show change over time.
• Server configuration you set with /setup.
• Feedback you submit with /feedback, and any direct message you send the bot, along with your user ID so we can reply.
• Subscription status for premium features, and — if you pay by card — the customer id our payment processor gives us, so we can find your subscription again. Card numbers and billing details are handled entirely by the payment provider (Discord or Stripe) and are never seen or stored by this bot.

What is not stored

• Anything you say in a server. The bot cannot read server messages at all — it does not have the Discord permission that would allow it, and does not want it. It sees the commands you explicitly run, and nothing else.
• Payment or card details of any kind.
• Anything about you if you never run a command.

The one exception is direct messages you send to the bot. If you reply to a DM it sent you, that message is stored and forwarded to the maintainer, exactly like /feedback — because a reply that reached nobody would be worse than no reply channel at all. Don't send anything private there; it is read by a human. Ask via /feedback and it will be deleted.

Sharing

Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. Your Dota account ID is sent to OpenDota to fetch the public match data you asked for, and to Steam to resolve your profile. That's the extent of it.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while you use the bot. To have your linked account, cached stats, snapshots and feedback deleted, run /feedback and ask — include that you want deletion and it will be handled manually. There is no automated self-serve deletion command yet; that is a known gap, not a policy.
